Skype for Web, also known as “Skype online” and “Skype for browser”, is a special version of the application that runs directly from the browser, without installing or downloading additional files. However, if you do not use the browser Microsoft Edge, to make calls you must install a browser extension. Also should be noted that at this moment, Skype for Web is still in beta stage and some features are not available or may not work correctly.
