   The users needs skype version like the old version 3.8.8
   we really want it since its easy fast and lovely to use

   Greetings,
   I too have switched to that version after a "forced" installation (which I didn't ask for) of version 8 of Skype. The result was catastrophic (and that's an understatement!!) : loss of all the access to my account parameters of the version I was using (7.?) = login, password, as well as the loss of all my contacts and other snafus. After two and a half days (and a good part of many a night as well), I finally downloaded Skype for the Web. After checking the access to my account (a few added manipulations were necessary to get my list of contacts 'thru a search thru the Skype directory, the sending of invitations and once that was done, all "my little ducks were now back in a row) Alleluia!!
   Now, my comments on this version, whch as you indicated on youe site is the barebones version. What I notice dis that was no menu as wellh an access to the parametering the app i.e. options. After a search, I did click on the cog wheel which opened a " Pameters" Menu. However, it offers very limited options contrary to the menus displayed in the v 7.? Version. Too bad!! And so far my searches have not provided an answer …. It seems to me i did see a message that some feature were upcoming but i can't remember where, alas!
   If anybody has any ideaa or suggestion, I'm ready to read them

   Ok... so now messages are being "sent" but not received until several hours latter... been going on for days now... ever since Microsoft got their hands on this its just been a buggy mess.
