   I have problem to see my contacts online. I have one contacts on my 2 skype accounts, on one account i see this contact online and on my another account i not see this person. When we chat i see my contact as invisible. I not see many other contacts online too. Some of them see me as invisible too even when i'm online.

            Unfortunately, I don’t know what the problem is. I recommend you to ensure that your contacts already use latest versions of Skype, then try to reset Skype settings or run it using a clean profile folder.

               It's big problem now because i not see many contacts online and they not see me online too. I have many peoples on 2 accouts, on one account i see them online and on second accout i not see them but i have this problem on all my accounts.

                  If this happens on latest version (i.e, 7.37.0.103) it seems your profile data is broken and you should reset it.

                     thanks it's helps i thin but i'm not sure if i can see everyone online, i will write more later, i see much more peoples online than before on all acounts, 3 person that was online everyday and i not see them, i see them as yellow now, but today i found one contacts that i see online on my second account for a hour and i not see this contact on another account while we normally chat

                     I'm not sure if i had this problem on all my accounts but i'm sure that i had it on 2 accounts, on once account it helps because i million more peoples online than before but on another account it not helps, i see small changes (3 peoples i not see online before, now i see). But there is a lot that i not see online. I think skype portabe do it all. Today i was onlline on 2 skype versions in the same account, skype portable 6.10.60.104 and normal skype 7.37.0.103. And 8 peoples i see online on both skype version, 4 peoples i see only on normal skype version, and 6 peoples i see only on skype portable version. I restart appdata and registry 2 times in this app.

                           I did it and after 5 min i not see changes at all, then i think about this email and i click profile on my skype and i realize that i have emails on all my accounts besides this account that i have problem to see peoples online. I was online on this account on skype portable and normal skype and i put my email on both skype versions. On skype portable my account start updating archive chat (first time since i use skype portable 6:20.0.104 and 6:10.60.104, before skype portable never updated archive chat). When i put email on my normal skype then skype sign me out and anytime when i try to log in skype, i have blue spinning off and skype always sign me off. I sing in on my normal skype when i sign out from skype portable. I can't open normal skype and skype portable in the same account at the same time now (but other skype account i can use with 2 diffrent skype version with the same account). I will see if something change but if puting email on skype profile was enough i will remove linked my account with microsoft account.

                           And it not solve my problem, i just see another person on another account online while not see this person on my main account. And i also can't unlink microsoft account and sign in skype portable and normal skype on the same account to see who is online and who not.

                           I start thinking that i'm the only one person who have problem to see peoples online. Other peoples talk more about that they can't send and receive messages with peoples that they see offline. But it looks that they not have this problem on the whole time every single day. It looks that they have this problem for some hours and and after it it's gone and they can message each other normally and no one complain about see each other online but i do. I never had problem with send and receive messages. Maybe one or 2 time for 1 hour but this fas fixed fast by skype while see peoples online is not fixed. Some my contacts i see only on my normal skype, some i see only on my skype portable (contacts on the same account). I refresh skype portable everyday to check who was online last day and always see new peoples. It's random sometimes peoples i not see for long time i start see normally online but i not see new contacts online. I rare refresh account on normal skype. Today i refresh it and some new contacts i not see in last few days appear as yellow now but when i relog they back to offline, on skype portable i saw them online, on normal skype not. I don't know if im the only one who have this problem or maybe skype portable affect my normal skype. My skype portable 6.20.0.104 can't run, i can run it only when i uninstall normal skype, then my skype portable 6.20.0.104 works. When i run my system on safe mode with network it also work normally.                            No one complain now and it looks like everythink works, but when they will have problem with send and receive messages there will be mass complain. I don't know if i ever will see my contacts online as i should..

                              It is worth trying a couple of days to use only normal version and observe if the problem persists. Do not forget before this to clear the Skype profile.

                                 You mean clear normal skype profile or delete everything from skype portable? Copy skype portable to pendrive is not enough?

                                    Yes, I mean “normal” Skype profile, since you need to test the “normal” version that may be affected/altered by the portable one. Please read this: How to reset the settings of Skype for Windows.

   Hello, since this Skype version under our firewall Firepower there's very high CPU usage reported by many user.
   I think that the way this version communicates with the internet changed and it's a lot more sensible about decryption and analysis that our firewall does.
   Does anyone knows how to stop this? Apart from downgrading to version 7.36 ;)

      Hi! What process is heavily use the processor? Incidentally, not SkypeBrowserHost.exe? Have you tested version 7.40.0.103?

            In that case, I’m sorry, but I do not know how to solve the problem. If you haven’t already done this, in the Skype settings try to disable option “Use port 80 and 443 for additional incoming connections” and change the port for incoming connections (make sure it is in the range 1024-65535). If you use proxy, try direct connections for Skype.
